Wow, imagine having only 2 days and 2 nights to explore the massive LA city. This almost sounds impossible, but with the right planning it can be done with all the major highlights your need on your trip to LA.

Morning: A fresh start

Wake up early and go work out on the Original Muscle Beach. Have a leisurely stroll along beach in Santa Monica. There are plenty of beach cafes to choose from for coffee and breakfast. Nothing lets you know you are in LA like the fresh breeze of the ocean air!

Walk to nearby Venice beach, a must-see destination, with a wide range of street performers, artists, and vendors. You'll see everything from musicians and dancers to painters and craftsmen, all showcasing their skills and talents. You can expect people to ask you to look at their art or buy their album. It is always fun to indulge, but you won’t hurt anyone’s feelings if you politely say you are not interested.

Noon: Beverly hills luxury

Take hop on hop off bus from the Santa Monica Pier straight to Beverly Hills. Explore the iconic Rodeo drive and browse the selection of boutique and luxury shopping there is to offer. If time permits, take a look inside the Beverly Hills Hotel. The interior is spectacular and suited for the extravagance of the rich and famous. The dining here is also quite exquisite with a tropical theme located in the courtyard near the bungalows suites. Their bar is also something special with a old Hollywood feel to it. Take a look inside and maybe sit for an early afternoon cocktail. Don’t get too comfortable, because there is a lot more to do on the fun filled day.

Afternoon: Hollywood Highlights

Take hop on hop off bus at the Line one and Line 2 junction and go straight to everyone’s favorite place, Hollywood Boulevard. Now on this chock-full day, you need to prioritize which Hollywood tour, you want to take part in. Our recommendation if it is your First Time Visiting is to check out Graumanns Chinese Theater.

The TCL Chinese Theatre, for example, is a famous movie palace that has hosted the premieres of some of Hollywood's biggest hits. The TCL Chinese Theatre also boasts it’s only Walk of Fame, where many famous actors have stamped their signature, and/or hand or footprints in the cement. Look out for Star Wars creator George Lucas and cast, George Clooney, Will Smith and many more.

Mid-Afternoon: Sunset before sunset

Once you are done exploring the amazing Hollywood Boulevard, hop back on the bus to Sunset strip. Here you are going to find some of the most iconic music venues in Los Angeles. If you are a fan of rock and roll and local live entertainment Sunset Strip is a must tour part of Los Angeles.

From The Whiskey A Go Go, to the Roxy Theater, The Troubadour and the Viper Room, the Sunset strip in West Hollywood is one of the best places to check out live music and learn about Los Angeles Rock and Roll History. Bands like the The Eagles, The Doors, Guns and Roses and The Go-Go’s have deep roots with the sunset strip. Nearby legendary comedy house, The Comedy Store produced the Comedy Store’s House Band which went on to launch Mark Hudson and John Belushi into the spot of the music industry. Most notably Neil Young was spotted by Stephen Stills actually leaving town when he flagged him down on the Sunset Strip and asked Neil to play with him which would lead to the formation of the legendary folk band Buffalo Springfield.

Evening: Golden hour & santa monica nightlife

There are so many places in Los Angeles to catch a great Sunset, but one of the greatest is on the beach. That why we highly recommend you wind down your eventful day back at Santa Monica. Take a chance to stroll along the pier and 3rd street promenade and dine at one of the plethora of restaurants in the area. Get your night started with a fancy cocktail at the Terraza Lounge and continue on with a crawl through some of Santa Monicas best bars and nightclubs.

Santa Monica has one of the best nightlives in the world. Between the clubs, stages, dancefloors, or dive bars and fancy ocean front tables Santa Monica is rockin’ high on LA’s nighttime destinations. If you are a big fan of music you got to check out one of the plenty of Karaoke bars in the city, but none is more iconic than the Gaslite on Wilshire blvd. Operating for in the same location for decades now the Gaslite is home to the non-stop karaoke party. Open everyday, it is always a storm of music and passion, and hey, maybe a little fame too ;).
